1044 settlers storm into Al-Aqsa Mosque

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – A number of Palestinians were injured and others arrested, when the Israeli occupation forces and its settlers stormed into Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Palestinian media reported that 1,044 settlers, including Occupation Knesset member Itamar Ben Gvir, stormed into Al-Aqsa Mosque from the Mughrabi Gate and carried out provocative tours in its courtyards, under heavy guard of the occupation forces. They injured a number of Palestinians with bruises and fractures, and arrested 10 young Palestinian men.

Occupation forces stormed into the mosque at dawn on Sunday and surrounded the the Palestinians inside the prayer hall and closed its doors with iron chains. They also smashed the locks of the minaret of the Mughrabi Gate and their snipers climbed the roofs of the mosque. 

Israeli settlers also closed the main road connecting the cities of Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and Hebron in the occupied West Bank.

Wafa News Agency reported that settlers gathered in the street, closed it and prevented Palestinians from passing through.

Hundreds of settlers storm into the Old City of occupied Al-Quds

On the other hand, a number of Palestinians were injured on Sunday when hundreds of Israeli settlers stormed the Old City of occupied Al-Quds (Jerusalem), under the protection of the occupation forces.

Wafa News Agency reported that hundreds of settlers, including members of the occupation Knesset, carried out provocative tours in the streets of the Old City under the protection of the occupation forces. The settlers attacked the Palestinians, injuring a number of them with fractures and bruises.

The Red Crescent Society in Al-Quds (Jerusalem) said that settlers attacked an ambulance crew affiliated with it in the Old City while they were trying to reach an injured person in Al-Wad neighborhood.
