Council of sheikhs and dignitaries of Arab clans and tribes in Al-Hasakah condemns threats of Turkish regime

The council of Sheikhs and dignitaries of Arab clans and tribes strongly condemned the military threats, practices and criminal attacks carried out by the Turkish occupation forces and its mercenaries to launch a new aggression on Syrian territory and its malicious plans in northern Syria.

A statement by the council said, “The barbaric Erdogan regime is preparing his army to launch a new aggression on our Syrian land, in order to achieve his expansionist ambitions and occupy some Syrian lands.”.

“The butcher Erdogan is laying down military plans to achieve his miserable Ottoman dreams by establishing what he calls “the safe zone”, which is intended to occupy parts of Syrian land and bring about demographic change to achieve the interest of the neo-Ottomans at the expense of the Syrian geography and its people.”

The statement pointed out that the council strongly condemns these threats, practices and criminal attacks carried out by the Turkish occupation forces and its mercenaries, calling on SDF militia leaders to comprehend the new political and field changes and to stay away from separatist dreams in order to avoid a repetition of the tragedy of Afrin, Tal Abyad, Ras al-Ain and other areas  that the Turkish occupier has seized because of the inability of this militia to defend and protect it.”

The statement continued, “The council of Sheikhs and dignitaries of Arab clans and tribes, as it sends this invitation out of concern for Syrian blood and Syria’s  geography, holds everyone who gives excuses to Erdogan to achieve his ambitions historical responsibility and considers him complicit in one way or another with the occupation and its aides, which gives the right of our people to hold him accountable sooner or later.”
