Syria participates in 2022 Asian Olympiad in Informatics

With the participation of Syria, the 2022 Asian Olympiad in Informatics, organized by Egypt, was launched via video, over two days, with the participation of 35 countries from Asia and the Pacific.

The Commission for Excellence and Creativity said in a statement that the Syrian participation in this great international competition included all the 36 members of the national team for the Syrian Scientific Olympiad specializing in informatics. The 36 male and female students are distributed within the centers of the Excellence Commission in several governorates: Aleppo 11 students, Homs 9 students, and in Damascus and Damascus countryside 7 students, Lattakia 5 students, Tartous 3 students, and Hama one student.

 

The Commission pointed out that the competitions include a five-hour continuous test that includes 3 questions in the “C Plus Plus” language, and the countries participating in this Olympiad have the right to choose the time that suits them to submit the test during the 28th and 29th of May.

It is noteworthy that the Syrian Scientific Olympiad has not stopped participating in this Olympiad for more than 10 years, and it had its presence and achievements, the last of which was a bronze medal last year 2021.
