BAGHDAD, May.24, (ST)- The Iraqi Minister of Defense Jumaa Enad Saadoun and the Syrian Ambassador to Iraq Sattam Jadaan Al-Dandah discussed ways of developing the bilateral relations between Syria and Iraq in the security field and the control of common borders.
The discussion, which was held on Tuesday, dealt with the bilateral relations in the military and security fields, information exchange between the two brotherly countries, and prospects for developing them.
Al-Dandah said that the two sides spoke about the important achievements made by the Syrian and Iraqi armies in the war on terrorism.
He indicated that the discussion concentrated on fortifying and controlling the common borders, preventing the infiltration of terrorists to and from Syria and Iraq, and continuing joint cooperation and exchanging information to eliminate the remnants of terrorist organizations.
