Putin reiterates that Western sanctions will not succeed in isolating Russian economy

Russian President Vladimir Putin reiterated that Western sanctions will not succeed in isolating the Russian economy, indicating that the Russian economy under the new conditions will be open.

“In the new conditions, the Russian economy will certainly be open… Russia will expand mutually beneficial cooperation with interested countries,” TASS news agency quoted Putin as saying today during a government meeting on the development of the transport sector.
Putin indicated that the desire of a number of companies from some countries to withdraw from Russia shows the importance of diversification, directing the Russian government to accelerate the development of infrastructure in the country in the coming years.
The Russian President also drew attention to the need to diversify transport routes due to the desire of some countries to “Closure on Russia”, calling for getting rid of routine channels while implementing transport projects and not violating deadlines in implementing projects.
