The Palestinian Foreign Ministry calls on the international community to pressure the occupation to stop the Judaization of the Ibrahimi Mosque

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community and the relevant UN organizations, led by UNESCO, to move quickly and put pressure on the Israeli occupation authorities to stop their Judaization of the Ibrahimi Mosque and the Old City in the city of Hebron in the West Bank. In a statement today, circulated by Wafa Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the occupation’s attacks on the “Haram” (Sanctuary) of the Ibrahimi Mosque to change its Islamic civilization identity and its existing historical and legal reality through demolition and bulldozing, the most recent of which was the demolition of parts of the historic staircase of the Haram yesterday and the implementation of excavations with heavy machinery in its external yards. The Palestinian Foreign Ministry pointed out that this flagrant attack by the occupation is a violation of the law, and it is an integral part of the process of Judaizing Hebron.
The Foreign Ministry warned against dealing with what the Ibrahimi Mosque is subjected to as things that have become familiar and do not call for any international positions or reactions, especially in light of the ongoing repression and abuse of the Palestinians who defend the mosque.
