The First Outstanding School team in Homs won a bronze medal in the World Informatics Olympiad for Teams IIOT 2022, which was held by Italy on the 19th of May, with the participation of 15 teams from 7 countries from the continents of Europe, Asia and Africa.
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the Excellence and Creativity Commission said in a statement on Monday that the team of the First Outstanding School in Homs included the students: Hazem Moataz Dalati from the third secondary grade, Antoine Kamal Dabbous from the third secondary grade, Ammar Muhammad Majd Alfin from the second grade of secondary school, and Farhan Abdel-Gawad Al-Hajj Younis from the grade First secondary.
This is the first participation for Syria in this Olympiad, which is being held for the 5th year in a row in Italy. It includes 3-hour continuous test, during which students solve 7 problems in competitive programming.
