The Sea of Azov has become of joint use by Russia and Donetsk after the liberation of Mariupol

Deputy Prime Minister of the Crimean government Georgy Muradov said that after the liberation of Mariupol, the Sea of Azov became a sea of joint use by the Russian Federation and the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).

Muradov, who is also the Permanent Representative of Crimea to the President of the Russian Federation, noted that Kiev will completely lose access to the Sea of Azov when the Russian army liberates the Kherson region and the southern part of the Zaporozhye region from Ukrainian nationalists.

According to Muradov, the new status of these regions will be determined later. He stressed that the special operation of the Russian Federation to demilitarize Ukraine allowed the DPR fighters to reach Mariupol and liberate the southern part of the republic occupied by nationalists, thereby providing access to the Sea of Azov.
