Chinese Foreign Minister: The US strategy in Asia is doomed to failure
Beijing (ST): Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi considered that the US strategy in Asia is doomed to failure, stressing that those who try to isolate China in any way will isolate themselves in the end.
Wang Yi told reporters after talks with Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou yesterday, according to Xinhua, that the US so-called “Indo-Pacific strategy” is doomed to failure and is a cause of concern in the international community, especially in the “Asia-Pacific” region.
He pointed out that the peoples of the “Asia Pacific” region still remember the conflicts and confrontations caused by hegemony, want national stability and a peaceful life, and hope that their countries will be able to live together in harmony and strive for win-win cooperation.
He added that the particularly dangerous matter is that the United States is playing the “Taiwan card” and the “South China Sea card” to cause chaos in the region, stressing that the facts will prove that the so-called “Indo-Pacific strategy” is in essence a strategy to create division, incite confrontation and undermine peace.
