The assassination of an Iranian Revolutionary Guards officer in Tehran

Colonel of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Hassan Sayyad Khodayi, was martyred on May 22nd, after gunmen opened fire at him, southeast of the capital, Tehran. 

According to Fars News Agency, Khodayi was martyred in front of his house in the capital, Tehran, after he was shot dead by motorcyclists. 

According to the agency, Colonel Khodayi died due to the severity of his injuries, and the security forces are continuing in the pursuit of the aggressors. 

 

The Public Relations of the Revolutionary Guards indicated in a statement that the martyr Colonel Sayyad Khodayi was exposed this afternoon in one of the alleys leading to Mujahideen Street in the east of the capital, Tehran, to a terrorist crime by terrorists linked to global hegemony.

The statement offered congratulations and condolences on the martyrdom of Colonel Sayyad Khadayi, stressing that the necessary measures will be continued to identify and arrest the assailant(s). 

The Revolutionary Guards spokesman, Brigadier General Ramadan Sharif, referred in a press statement to the crimes of assassination and said that the Zionist entity continues to target Iran’s interests and senior Iranian officials, vowing to respond harshly and seismically to that.
