HASAKAH, May.18, (ST)- Fighting renewed on Wednesday between the Turkish-backed mercenaries in the city of Ras Al-Ayn in the northwestern countryside of Hasakah, leaving many mercenaries injured.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), local sources said that clashes with machine guns erupted between the so-called “Military Police” terrorists, who are backed by the Turkish occupation forces, near Al-Jawza area inside Ras al-Ain city, which led to the injury of 5 terrorists and material damage to the residents’ homes and properties, and a state of panic and chaos in the city.

The sources pointed out that most of the clashes between the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation resulted from the competition for controlling the smuggling routes towards Turkish territory and the seizure of the property of the civilians who were displaced them from the region.
