Sending weapons to Ukraine prolongs the war and destabilizes Europe, says Paroubek

Prague, (ST) – Former Czech Prime Minister Jerje Parobek stressed that when Western countries continue to send weapons to Ukraine, this matter would prolong the war in it. He said that “it is necessary to work for peace and not to send more weapons.”

Parubek said in an interview with the Czech Parliamentary Papers website that “the continuation of the war in Ukraine will lead to economic and social destabilization in Europe in general and the eastern part of it in particular.”

Paroubek pointed out that one of the main mistakes the United States makes is its belief that it can defeat Russia. He pointed out that Russia is a superpower that possesses nuclear weapons, enjoys a strong economy and is self-sufficient in gas, oil, wheat and other strategic materials.

Paroubek affirmed that many of the sanctions imposed by Western countries on Russia have badly affected Russia and affected its economies.
