Sabbagh: Syria continues enhancing relations with the countries that support it

Damascus, (ST) – The Speaker of the People’s Assembly Hammouda Sabbagh affirmed the depth of the historical relations between Syria and Mauritania. He indicated that Syria continues to enhance  relations with countries and peoples that have supported it

During his meeting yesterday with  MP Mustafa Dah SohaibHead of the Mauritanian-Syrian Parliamentary Fraternity Committee, and his accompanying delegation, Sabbagh expressed his appreciation and pride in the Syrian-Mauritanian relations and the honourable stances of the Mauritanian people and their leadership towards Syria and what it was exposed to during the terrorist war waged against it.

For his part, MP Dah Sohaib expressed his thanks and appreciation for the hospitality he found in Syria. He stressed his country’s determination to continue developing relations with Syria in various fields.

Sohaib also added that the Mauritanian people are keen on standing by Syria and supporting it.

Meanwhile, the delegation members pointed out that they will convey to the Mauritanian people the reality of the current situation in Syria, especially the negative effects of the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed on it.
