The Syrian Book Fair Month 2022 kicks off

New and diverse titles and topics mostly covering various cultural, intellectual and literary topics , in addition to children’s books included  in  the Syrian Book Fair  Month 2022, which was opened on Monday at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in Damascus University.

 

The cultural event , which takes place annually , constitutes a platform  for the Syrian General Organization of Books to present its recent publications to readers, who in turn have the opportunity to purchase various books at low prices.

 

The book fair displayed  about a thousand titles of books in the fields of literature and  culture , in addition to children’s books, magazines and periodicals publications issued by the Syrian General Organization of Books. 

 

The Minister of Culture, Dr. Loubana Muchaweh, stressed in a statement to SANA that the Syrian General Organization of Books is distinguished by its publications in Syria and abroad in terms of the number of publications, their quality, their intellectual and cognitive value, in addition to the prices and the free e-book service. 

 

Director of the Syrian General Organization of  Book Dr. Thaer Zain Eddin indicated to holding the book fair at the university in order to deliver the various publications of the Ministry of Culture to the student and professor at low prices. 

 

The Dean of the faculty of Arts and Humanities, Dr. Adnan Muslim, stressed the importance of the monthly fairs held by the Ministry of Culture, especially as they  enhance the scientific position of the faculty  of Arts and achievescientific and cultural communication between the Ministry and the faculty . 

 

A number of   visitors to the book fair highlighted the key role of such events which contribute to enhancing the role of reading and introducing new titles of Syrian books , indicating the most important feature of the exhibition is the prices of the books that are suitable for all students to acquire all the publications they need.
