The administration of Ukraine’s Odessa region has banned broadcasting of Russian and Moldovan television channels, Mikhail Mizintsev, chief of Russia’s National Defense Management Center, said on Sunday.
“The Odessa region administration has banned operation of satellite television providers broadcasting Russian and Moldovan television channels in a bid to deprive people of access to alternative views on the situation around the special military operation,” said Mizintsev, who also heads the Russian Joint Coordination Headquarters for Humanitarian Response in Ukraine.
According to Mizintsev, owners of apartments and private houses are forces to dismantle satellite equipment. “Those who refuse to do it are accused of pro-Russian views, with computers and smartphones being seized from them. People are being taken in an unknown direction and their relatives know nothing about them,” he said.
