Under the patronage of Dr. Lubana Mushouh, Minister of Culture , Directorate of Theaters and Music, the Gabala Dance Theater band presented its new show (Talqi) on the stage of the Cultural Center in Jableh, in the presence of a large audience.
The show was directed by the band’s director, Afaf Abdullah, and coreographed by Afaf Abdullah, Muhammad Othman and Hassan Al-Farawi. The new performance of the Gabalaband (Talqi) included ten folkloric dance paintings, folklore and contemporary, that brought together several civilizations:
Syria (Al-Dalona) from the coastal region, (AalBalBaadakYa Sahel Horan) from the southern region and (Miscellaneous Heritage) from the eastern region, in addition to a variety of dances drawn from the Spanish and Indian civilizations.
The director of the Gabala Troupe, Afaf Abdullah, stated that this show is a meeting of art and civilizations, noting that Gabalaband has been presenting purposeful performances that deal with various topics. During the past years, it has presented various shows, including: (Syria, My Love), (The Wedding) , (Land of peace), (Alwan from Gabala) and (The Spirit of the East), thanking the Ministry of Culture – Directorate of Theater and Music under the direction of Mr. Imad Jalloul for providing opportunities to present performances under the generous sponsorship of the Ministry.
It is noteworthy that the Gabala band was founded in 2014, and its cadre includes young people and children from the city of Jableh and from several Syrian governorates, noting that the name of the band Gabala goes back to the name of the city of Jableh in the Hellenistic era.
