Abdullahian: President Al-Assad’s visit to Tehran opens a new horizon in the strategic relations between the two countries
On May 8th, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian affirmed that President Bashar Al-Assad’s visit to Tehran and high-level meetings with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Ibrahim Raisi opened a new horizon in the strategic relations between the two countries.
Abdullahian tweeted that the determination to raise relations between the two countries and raise them to a level befitting their peoples.
Abdullahian pointed to the role of cooperation between Iran and Syria in defeating the terrorist conspiracy imposed on Syria.
In addition, the former Iranian diplomatic political analyst Hadi Afqi said: “The visit of President Al-Assad to Tehran represents a thorn in the eyes of those who bet on creating a rift in the strategic relationship between the two countries.”
Afqi added, in a statement to Mehr Agency: “I have not heard Imam Khamenei’s praise and veneration for the president of a republic in the world, as he said about President Bashar Al-Assad.”
Earlier today, President al-Assad paid a working visit to the Iranian capital, Tehran, during which he met Khamenei and Raisi.
