Ukrainian forces are planning a new provocation in the Lviv and Volyn regions, accusing Russia of targeting civilians

On May 8th, the head of the Russian National Defense Monitoring Center, Lieutenant-General Mikhail Mezintsev, announced that the Ukrainian regime is planning a new provocation in the western regions of Ukraine to accuse the Russian armed forces of targeting civilians.

“On May 8, the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation, which Ukraine celebrates as an alternative to (Victory Day) marking the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, the Kyiv regime is planning complex provocations that lead to the deaths of civilians,” TASS news agency quoted Mezintsevas saying.

Mezintsev explained that the Ukrainian forces will strike with Tochka-U missiles over crowded areas in the settlements of the Lviv and Volynregions, as happened at the Kramatorsk train station before.

Mezintsev said that these false attacks prepared by the Ukrainian authorities with the approval of those who deal with them from Western countries show Kyiv’s complete indifference to its citizens.

“We confirm once again that during the implementation of the tasks of the special military operation, the Russian armed forces, unlike the Ukrainian armed formations, adhere to their humanity, especially towards the local population, and do not bomb civilian facilities,”Mezintsev said.

Mizintsev had revealed yesterday that the regime forces in Kyiv booby-trapped the water tank of the Kurakhovskaya electrothermal station in the city of Pokrovsky in the Donetsk People’s Republic to blow it up.

It is noteworthy that the Tochka Yu missiles are an updated version of the Soviet high-precision tactical missile system (Tochka), whose mission is to hit small targets at a distance of 15/120 km inside enemy defenses.
