“ The Economy of Resistance …the Path to Liberation” a new book by Syrian and Palestinian researchers

The concept of the  economy of resistance has emerged in recent years as a term in response to the sanctions and siege policies pursued by Western governments, especially the US, and the Israeli occupation against the peoples and countries of the region by relying on internal capabilities and strengthening steadfastness.

The new book recently issued by the Arab Writers Union and the Levant Foundation under the title “Resisting Economy, the Path to Liberation” presents a systematic and comprehensive research on  the foundations of the resisting  economy and the need to pay attention to it to support the resistance and how to build a resisting  society and support its forces.

The book stressed  the necessity of self-reliance,   strengthening relations between countries that adopt the option and approach of resistance, making the economy of resistance a priority for them in addition to  strengthening  and supporting it culturally and politically.

Syrian and Palestinian writers, economists, and intellectuals participated in this book through researches  that embodied  the culture and economy of resistance.

Researcher Dr. Muhammad Al-Hourani highlighted in the book  that culture can greatly contribute to supporting the resisting  economy by paying attention to the tangible and intangible heritage and establishing cultural projects that will secure a financial return that enables and strengthens the resisting  economy.

In the 192-page book, we read a research  by Dr. Mustafa al-Kafri on the current challenges facing the Palestinian economy in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, while Muhammad Habib addressed in his research the hegemony of the occupation over the Palestinian economy and the Palestinian attempts to get rid of it.

In his research, Joudeh Al-Dakr presented the repercussions and effects of the Zionist military and economic war on the Palestinian people.

In turn, Awad Saud Awad focused in  his research  on the relationship between folklore and the resisting economy , while Omar Miqdad presented economic empowerment as a basic option for the liberation of Palestine.
