China criticizes US allegations against it on the Ukraine issue

Washington (ST): The Chinese Embassy in the United States today slammed the US State Department’s false allegations that Chinese officials and its media routinely provide Kremlin propaganda, conspiracy theories and disinformation on the Ukraine issue.

Commenting on a recent statement posted on the US State Department’s website, the embassy spokesperson said, “China’s position on the Ukraine issue is neutral, objective and above suspicion, and when it comes to spreading misinformation, the US side should think seriously about itself.”

The spokesman pointed out that “over the years, the United States has waged wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria, which resulted in the deaths of 335,000 civilians, and this is not misleading.”
