Mrs. Asma Al-Assad congratulates children in the “Lahn Al-Hayat” Complex on Eid Al-Fitr

DAMASCUS, May.3, (ST)- Mrs. Asma Al-Assad congratulated the children of unknown lineage, who are residing in the (Lahn al-Hayat) complex in Damascus countryside, on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, and gave them gifts and had a good time with them. 
 
Mrs. Al-Assad met with the supervisors of the complex and the surrogate mothers who are doing their utmost to take care of the children and young people in this complex.
 
The supervisors asserted that the issue of people of unknown lineage needs to strengthen the society’s responsibility towards them, indicating that social media has recently contributed to spreading humanitarian incidents about the infants who have been left in the streets and in front of the doors of mosques and hospitals without knowing their lineage identity, and that the “Lahn Al-Hayat” complex received them and they became part of its family.
 
Dozens of children , infants, children and young adults of unknown parentage reside in this complex, where they receive care, protection and upbringing that helps them face life’s challenges to be active in their society.
