Syria wins 4 medals in Stemco

DAMASCUS, May.3, (ST)- The Syrian Scientific Olympiad have made an important international achievement in their first participation in the International Chemistry Competition (Stemco), which was organized by Singapore on April 24th, with the participation of 48 contestants representing European and Asian countries.
 
Syria obtained several gold, silver and bronze medals that were gained by the 9 members who represented the national team of Syrian Scientific Olympiad for Chemistry after they took the first nine places in the last selection tests for the World Chemistry, 2022, the Distinction and Creativity Agency said in a statement to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
 
The competition was held within two levels. 
 
As for the first level (3rd grade of secondary school), the gold medal was gained by Ahmed Ezzeddin from the National Center for the distinguished, while the silver medal was gained by the two students Salman Darwish and Muhammad Hatem Ali, while student Hamza Masoud won the bronze medal, according to SANA.
 
In the second level (2nd grade of secondary), the gold medal was gained by Ghadeer Mualla, Muhammad Ghazal Hamideh and Salama Omran. Moreover, both students Sidra Mahfoud and Abdul Qader al-Hussein gained the silver medal.
