President Putin congratulates Muslims on Eid Al-Fitr

Moscow, (ST) – Russian President Vladimir Putin today congratulated the Muslims of Russia on Eid Al-Fitr. Thousands of citizens performed Eid prayers at the Grand Mosque in Moscow.

“This important holiday for every Muslim symbolizes commitment to human ideals, piety and mercy, and brings believers closer to the principles of Islam and the moral principles upon which all world religions are based,” Putin said in his congratulations to the Muslims of Russia on Eid Al-Fitr.

 Like every year on this occasion, the Moscow Grand Mosque witnesses the flock of thousands of worshipers since the early morning to perform the Eid prayer.
