Al-Miqdad and Abdullahian discuss issues of mutual interest

On May 1st, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Faisal al-Miqdad made a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdollahian

The two ministers discussed a number of issues of common interest between the two countries. 

 

During the phone call, Minister Miqdad offered congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr to the Islamic Republic of Iran, its leadership and people, wishing them continued prosperity and prosperity

Minister Abdullahian expressed his sincere gratitude for this congratulations, wishing Syria, its people and leadership all the best and progress. 

The two sides discussed issues of commemorating the International Quds Day in Syria, Iran and various countries of the world, and their countries’ full support for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in the face of the criminal Israeli attacks on the Al-Aqsa Mosque

The two sides stressed their countries’ firm stances towards the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights. 

For his part, Minister Miqdad affirmed that the strategic relations between Syria and Iran are always moving towards further development, stressing the need to increase the activation of economic cooperation between the two countries to confront the effects of the illegal and inhuman coercive Western economic measures imposed on the peoples of the two countries.

In turn, Abdullahian referred to the depth of relations between Syria and Iran and to enhance cooperation between the two countries in all fields

Abdullahian expressed his country’s support for Syria and its people and its readiness to provide everything possible to overcome the negative effects of unilateral coercive measures.
