Two Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails continue with their hunger strike

The Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli jails Khalil Awawdeh, 40, and Rand Rayyan, 27, continue with their open-ended hunger strike in protest against the Israeli occupation’s continuous crimes towards the Palestinian people, including the prisoners.

According to WAFA News Agency, Awawdeh has been on a hunger strike for 52 consecutive days despite his continuously deteriorating health condition, while Rayyan has entered the 27th day of his hunger strike.

The Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli jails have been suffering from medical negligence and lack of healthcare that has  worsened their health condition. They also have been suffering from physical and psychological torture by the jail authorities in a blatant violation of the rules of the International Humanitarian Law.

In another development, a Palestinian was martyred after the Israeli occupation forces shot at him north of the West Bank city of Qalqilya.

The occupation forces stormed into the village of Azoun and opened fire on the liberated prisoner Yahya Al-Adwan, 28, killing him immediately as the gunshot penetrated his heart.

In a relevant context, the Israeli occupation forces this dawn detained two Palestinians in the West Bank city of Bethlehem.

The two Palestinians, one of them an ex-prisoner, were detained while they were returning from Al-Aqsa Mosque after having finished their prayers, Wafa news agency reported on Saturday.

Moreover, a number of Palestinians were injured this dawn in occupied Al-Quds in an attack  by Israeli settlers on a bus transporting worshippers from the city of Al-Nasera in the Palestinian lands occupied in 1948. Also, the occupation forces detained ten Palestinians in the north of occupied Al-Quds while they were returning from their prayers in Al-Aqsa Mosque.
