Antonov: Russia has provided 16,000 tons of humanitarian aid to the population of Ukraine and Donbas

Washington (ST): The Russian ambassador to Washington, Anatoly Antonov, confirmed that since the beginning of the special operation in Ukraine, Russia has evacuated more than one million people to its territory from dangerous areas in Ukraine and the People’s Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk, and delivered 16 thousand tons of food, medicine and other supplies.

In response to White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki, who claimed that she “did not see a role for Russia in humanitarian aid to Ukraine,” Antonov said, according to what was reported by TASS today: “We recommend that our American colleagues familiarize themselves with the regularly updated materials of the Russian Ministry of Defense on the humanitarian situation.”
