Damascus (ST): On the occasion of International Quds Day, the Iranian embassy in Damascus organized a forum to support the cause of Al-Quds Al-Sharif and Palestine and to reject occupation and Judaization, at the Sheraton Hotel in Damascus.
Iranian Ambassador to Damascus Mahdi Sobhani stressed in a speech that International Quds Day is one of the eternal symbols, a day of public diplomacy to defend the rights of the Palestinian people and expose the practices of the occupying Zionist entity, pointing out that this day represents a continuation of the Palestinian identity and its transmission to future generations.
Ambassador Sobhani reiterated his country’s position in support of the Palestinian cause and the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, highlighting the heroism of the Palestinian people in the face of the oppression of the Israeli occupation forces.
For his part, Minister of Education Dr. Darem Tabbaa affirmed Syria’s solidarity with the steadfast Palestinian people, pointing to the need to mobilize all energies to protect the occupied city of Jerusalem.

Secretary of the Damascus branch of the Ba’ath Arab Socialist Party Husam al-Samman affirmed Syria’s firm position on the Palestinian cause and the right of the Palestinian people to restore their rights and defend holy sites, pointing out that Quds Day is an expression of commitment to the Palestinian cause despite all the displacement, settlement and aggression carried out by the Zionist enemy.
The Assistant Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Abu Ahmed Fouad, stressed that there is no choice but resistance to confront the aggression of the Israeli occupation and the imperialist countries that support it, especially the United States of America.
