Zakharova: The West is preventing a peaceful settlement of the crisis in Ukraine

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stressed that Western countries are preventing a peaceful settlement of the crisis in Ukraine by continuing to pump arms and support Nazi extremists.

During a press conference in Moscow today, Zakharova indicated that the West does not stop pumping weapons to Ukraine, supports the Nazis and prevents a peaceful settlement of the crisis there. It is publicly calling on Kiev to attack Russia using weapons obtained from NATO, stressing that any targeting of Russia will have a harsh response.

Zakharova pointed out that Ukraine has turned into a mobilization center for foreign terrorists and mercenaries, as there are about 7,000 foreign mercenaries from 63 countries on its territory, and these terrorists sent by the West will later spread violence in their countries.

Zakharova noted that European countries were financing mercenaries in Syria, Iraq and North Africa and then suffered from terrorism carried out by these mercenaries on their lands. In Syria, when Western countries funded the so-called (moderate opposition), we saw how weapons were sold on the black market and fell into the hands of terrorists, and this is what will happen through the pumping of arms to Ukraine.

Regarding the events in the Republic of Transnistria, Zakharova stressed that Moscow considers the attacks there a terrorist act and calls for an objective investigation, noting that Russia condemns the attempts to involve Transnistria in what is happening in Ukraine.
