A new presence for the Syrian Scientific Olympiad in international scientific competitions  was embodied in the participation of the National Team of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad for Physics in the International Applied Physics Olympiad 2022, which was organized by Indonesia remotely over two days with the participation of 17 countries.

The Excellence and Creativity Authority indicated in a statement on Wednesday that the Syrian team included a group of distinguished talents from the members of the national team for the Syrian Scientific Olympiad for Physics.

The authority noted that this Olympiad is distinguished from other competitions by its testing, which is limited to one question that should be to be solved within a long period of time, not exceeding 37 hours. The team should present the solution and write an article on the general idea of the question and the studied physics phenomenon related to it.
