Iran condemns the occupation entity’s repeated attacks on the Palestinian people and Syrian territories

New York, (ST) – Iran has renewed its condemnation of the Zionist occupation entity’s repeated attacks on the Palestinian people and their sanctities and on Syrian lands. It stressed that the aggressive and expansionist plans and projects of this entity undermine stability in the region.

Iranian Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Majid Takht Ravanchi said during a meeting of the UN Security Council to discuss the situation in the Middle East and the developments of the Palestinian cause, especially that “the Zionist entity’s repeated attacks on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria and its blatant threat to use force against all countries in the region constitute a real threat to peace and security in the region”.

Takht Ravanchi denounced the brutal attacks of the Zionist entity on Al-Aqsa Mosque, saying that, “Iran strongly condemns the recent attacks by the occupation entity and extremist settlers on Al-Aqsa Mosque during the blessed month of Ramadan.

Ravanchi called for the need to protect the historical and legal status of Al-Aqsa Mosque within the framework of international laws, saying that, “we ask the international community to take the necessary preventive measures to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque, including its cultural heritage, against the attacks of the occupation forces and extremist settlers.”

Ravanchi stressed that the Palestinian issue can only be resolved by ending the occupation and officially recognizing and fully protecting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, and thus restoring the sovereignty of the Palestinian people over the occupied Palestinian territories.
