Holy Mass held at the Mariamite Cathedral marking Easter Monday
A Holy Mass was held today morning marking Easter Monday at the Mariamite Cathedral in Damascus.
The Mass was presided over by the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East Youhanna X Yazigi.
In his Easter sermon, Patriarch Yazigi said “we are praying for Syria and for the stability and territorial integrity of this country which has defended its sovereignty and dignity during years of a heinous war. We are praying for the people of Syria, who have suffered from the repercussions of this war, including terrorism, displacement, unjust siege and a suffocating economic crisis that affected, first and foremost, citizens’ livelihood.”
