Antonov: The West sending weapons to Ukraine prevents diplomatic solution to the crisis

Washington (ST): Russia has confirmed that sending weapons to Ukraine by the West, especially the United States of America,  does not contribute to finding a diplomatic solution and settling the crisis there.

The Russian ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, said in an interview with (Russia 24) channel that his country sent a note to Washington to stop supplying arms to Ukraine after its recent announcement of the supply of weapons worth $800 million.
Antonov considered that this huge number leads to an increase in risks and an aggravation of the situation, pointing out that the goal of the United States in this (and according to the words of some members of the US Senate) is to prevent Russia from standing on its own feet, preserving its interests and having its voice heard around the world.
