Palestinian Prime Minister calls for international protection for the Palestinians

On April 21st, Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh renewed his call on the international community to provide protection for the Palestinian people and to abandon double standards in dealing with international law.

Shtayyeh stated that the Israeli occupation’s targeting of the besieged Gaza Strip with air strikes and its violation of Al-Aqsa Mosque through repeated incursions and continued killings and invasions of cities, villages and towns in all the occupied territories is an attempt to impose false facts on the ground by force.

Shtayyeh stressed that the terrorism of the occupation will not dissuade the Palestinian peoples from continuing their struggle to liberate their land, gain their  freedom, and establish their  independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

For its part, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the continuous aggression of the occupation against Jerusalem and its Christian and Islamic holy sites.

The Ministry warned against the consequences of the international community’s dealing with the violations of the occupation as normal matters that have become familiar and do not require stopping or thinking about their racist dimensions.

The Ministry said that it will continue its political and legal movement to expose the crimes of the occupation against the Palestinians.
