Stockholm, (ST) – The National Union of Syrian Expatriates in Europe and Sweden held a celebration on the occasion of the seventy-sixth anniversary of Evacuation Day.
The President of the Union, Dr. Gabi Isho, affirmed in a speech that Syrians are the sons of land, glories, and history and they have the right to be proud of their identity. He pointed out that the anniversary of Evacuation Day is a historical station with which the promise of loyalty and struggle is renewed to complete the liberation process and expel the occupiers from every inch of Syria.
Isho said that Syria’s position through the ages and the achievements of its sons in all fields confirms its civilization. He added that the sons are continuing on the path of their grandfathers and fathers who made victory at the time.
In turn, the representative of the Syrian embassy in Stockholm, First Secretary Ihab Al-Youssef, referred to the importance of the memory of the evacuation feast in the hearts of the Syrians, which embodies the meanings of sacrifice and the will of liberation. He pointed out that the sacrifices and heroism of the Syrian Arab Army that achieved liberation in the past are being repeated today in confronting the terrorist war on Syria.
Al-Youssef also said that when Syrians’ abroad hold national events this confirms their adherence and loyalty to the homeland and their confidence in achieving victory and the return of security and stability to Syria.
