Kiev holds 76 ships and evades communication with the countries that own them, says Mizintsev

Moscow, (ST) – Mikhail Mizintsev, chief of Russia’s National Defense Management Center affirmed that the Kiev authorities are holding 76 ships from 18 countries in Ukrainian seaports.“76 foreign ships from 18 countries are still trapped in the Ukrainian ports,” TASS quoted Mezintsev as saying on Tuesday that the ships cannot take to the sea because of threats of shelling and high mine alerts in Ukraine’s inland and territorial waters.

Mizintsev said that the Kiev authorities continue to evade contacts with representatives from the countries and ship owning companies to ensure safe passage of foreign ships”.

The Tsarevna ship, flying the Bulgarian flag, was surrounded for several days in the Sea of Azov by Ukrainian extremists until it was liberated and its 15 crew members evacuated to Donetsk on the thirteenth of this month.
