Iran announces that it has reached an agreement to release a large part of its frozen assets

Tehran (ST): Iran announced that the general framework for releasing a large part of its frozen assets has been determined under an agreement recently reached.

The Iranian news agency IRNA quoted an official in the Central Bank of Iran as saying that a regional delegation visited Tehran last week to hold talks on how to implement this agreement, stressing that the release of frozen resources is an inalienable right of the Iranian people.
The official explained that these talks come with the aim of protecting the interests of the Iranian people and within the framework of international law, stressing that freezing Iranian resources in other countries contradicts international law and constitutes a violation of the rights of the Iranian people. Therefore, this issue must be pursued in a framework independent of the nuclear agreement.
The official pointed out that Iran will be in a better economic situation due to the increase in its revenues from exports and the significant rise in oil prices.
