People in the occupied Syrian Golan assert the continuity of struggle until the expulsion of the Israeli occupier
OCCUPIED GOLAN, April.17, (ST)- A celebration was held at the “Sultan Pasha al-Atrash” Square in the center of the town of Majdal Shams to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the evacuation of the French colonizer from Syrian land, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
The agency indicated that a delegation from the Palestinian territories, which were occupied in 1948, took part in the celebration where national flags, banners glorifying the memory of Independence Day, pictures of the leaders of the Syrian revolution against the French occupation, and pictures of President Bashar Al-Assad were raised.
The participants chanted slogans supporting the Syrian Army in its war against terrorism, stressing the adherence of the people of the occupied Syrian Golan to their homeland and their continued struggle until liberation and the expulsion of the Israeli occupier.
During the battles that had been to liberate Syria from the French occupation, the Golan offered 159 martyrs in addition to dozens of martyrs in the face of the Israeli occupation.
Among those martyrs are Izzat Abu Jabal, Benzih Abu Zeid, Ghalia Farhat, Nazih Mahmoud, Hayel Abu Zeid, Setan Al-Wali, Asaad Al-Wali and Medhat Al-Saleh.
The people of the occupied Golan are still facing tge Israeli plans , which aim to seize their lands, eliminate agriculture, and displace the people from their homes.
