Syria strongly condemns the Israeli occupation’s attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque, Al-Haram Al-Sharif

Syria has condemned in the strongest terms the crimes perpetrated by the Israeli occupation forces in the  courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque and Al-Haram Al-Sharif, including the Israeli forces’ raids into the mosque and destroying its contents and the barbaric attacks on the worshipers and the guards of Al-Haram Al-Sharif.

An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said on Saturday that “the government of the Syrian Arab Republic is following up with deep concern the dangerous events and developments in the occupied Palestinian Arab city of Al-Quds.”

“In this context, Syria, in particular, condemns the inhuman Israeli attacks on the Palestinian civilians that led to the injury of hundreds of people in Al-Haram Al-Sharif and to the detention of hundreds of  unarmed defenders of  the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque who were confronting the extremist settlers’ attacks,” the source added.

“The suspicious silence of the so-called international community, the unjustified inaction of international organizations and the unlimited US support for the occupation’s aggressive and criminal practices, settlement expansion, Judaization policy, acts of killing, destruction and land confiscation will not change the facts of history and will not make our nation give up its rights, because “Israel” is the party that poses threat to regional and international peace and security,” the source stressed.

The source reaffirmed that the Palestinian cause will continue to be Syria’s core issue and the central cause of the Arab people everywhere.

“Syria salutes the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in the face of the continuous Israeli attacks on different Palestinian cities and villages, reiterating Syria’s support for the brotherly people of Palestine who are defending the Arabism of Al-Quds,” the source concluded.
