Hasakah Governorate honors 25 martyrs’ families on the occasion of Independence Day

HASAKAH, April.14, (ST)- On the occasion of Independence  Day [AKA Evacuation Day], Hasakah Governorate honored on Thursday a number of Martyrs’ families to show loyalty to  what their sons offered for the pride and steadfastness of Syria.
 
The governorate also held a reception in which people from official and popular activities participated, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA). 
 
The agency reported that 25 families of martyrs were honored, indicating that Hasakah Governor Ghassan Khalil listened to the problems of the families and stressed that all possible efforts will be exerted to meet their demands. 
 
The families of the martyrs expressed their thanks and appreciation for the continuous interest shown by the state in the martyrs’ families. 
Moreover, the Governor of Hasaka said during the reception that the Evacuation Day is a great day in the history of Syria that came as a result of the sacrifices of the honorable  sons of the homeland. 
 
“Just as our ancestors expelled the French and before them the Ottomans, the occupiers, invaders, and new colonists will be expelled,” Khalil affirmed. 
 
The participants in the reception stressed that what the Syrian army has offered during the years of the terrorist war on Syria proved to the whole world that it is the only national institution which is capable of protecting  and defending the Syrian people.
