Turkish Regime Authorities Arrest 21 People, most of whom are military personnel

The authorities of the Turkish regime arrested 21 people, including military personnel, on the pretext of being linked to the organization of the preacher Fethullah Gulen, who is accused by the head of this regime, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, of being behind the 2016 coup attempt.

The Turkish newspaper, Zaman, quoted the authorities as saying that a colonel, non-commissioned officers and military students were arrested as part of the investigation conducted by the Terror Crimes Investigation Office at the Istanbul Public Prosecutor’s Office, indicating that 21 out of 36 wanted persons were arrested in 10 cities centered in Istanbul.

The aforementioned persons were charged with working to restructure the Turkish armed forces in favor of the Gülen movement.

The Turkish regime’s Interior Minister, Suleyman Soylu, admitted last November that his regime’s police had arrested 319,587 people on charges of belonging to the Gulen movement since the coup attempt in 2016, in addition to that tens of thousands were dismissed from their jobs, while thousands of people fled outside Turkey to avoid arbitrary measures.
