On April 10th, the Donetsk People’s Republic declared illegal the activities of the OSCE Observer Group on its territory.
“The activities of the Group and the presence of its representatives on the territory of the Donetsk Republic are undesirable,” RIA Novosti news agency quoted the sources of the People’s Republic as saying.
The source asked the Group’s team to leave Donetsk territory no later than the 30th of this month.
The Donetsk authorities had announced earlier the arrest of an employee of the OSCE mission, who had practiced activities “contrary to the mandate given to the mission” to monitor the ceasefire along the former line of contact between Donetsk and the forces of Ukraine, in light of the fact that the republic’s forces continued to liberate its lands under the cover of the Russian army.
