Syria, Russia discuss enhancing educational cooperation

Minister of Education Darem Tabbaa and President of the “Christian World” Association in Russia Alexei Cherkezov discussed ways to enhance teaching the Russian language in Syria and stressed the need to exchange visits by students and teachers from both countries.

Tabbaa pointed out that exchanging students and teachers’ visits between the two countries enriches the educational and cultural experience, stressing the importance of qualifying Russian language teachers given the increasing turnout of students wishing to learn Russian.

 On his part, Cherkezov said that there are many activities to carry out in Syria, including following up the opening of new sections for learning Russian language online, writing two books in Russian language, holding children camps on Russian land and qualifying Russian language teachers.
