The US-backed “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF) separatist militia has besieged Hasakah city center and closed all the entrances leading to it hours after it prevented the delivery of flour to Hasakah first bakery with the aim of stopping the production of bread and depriving thousands of families from this basic food.
SANA reporter said that the militia deployed armed groups at the entrances leading to the center of Hasakah city and prevented the movement of civilians and cars from and to the city center, which threatens with a severe shortage of fuel and foodstuffs and creates a suffocating crisis, especially during the month of Ramadan.
Earlier, Director of the Bakeries Branch in the city Abdulla Al-Haser said that “Preventing the flour trucks from delivering flour to “Al-Basel Bakery” by the militia will lead to the stop of work at the bakery and consequently lead to a sharp scarcity in bread in the city of Hasakah.”
This move comes as the SDF militia continues to besiege “Al-Baath Bakery” in Qamishli and prevent the delivery of flour and other basic supplies to the bakery, leading to its stoppage, he added.
Al-Haser also said that the SDF militants has besieged Al-Baath bakery and prevented the access of supplies necessary for producing bread, he clarified, pointing out that this bakery is the main facility that secures bread to the neighborhoods in the city of Qamishli.
Local sources pointed out that SDF militants besieged the bakery at 4 p.m. on Friday from the direction of Al-Shabab Sport City, confiscated the bread, prevented the citizens from entering the bakery and expelled the workers.
