Canadian Prime Minister opposes the policy of expelling diplomats

Ottawa, (ST) – Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced his opposition to the policy of expelling Russian diplomats pursued by some Western countries under the pretext of the special military operation in Ukraine.

“If we expel Russian diplomats from Canada, we could lose all of our diplomats in Russia who are doing a very important job of finding out what’s happening in Russia,” Trudeau was quoted as saying by AFP.

“We have to be very careful and we don’t want to be deprived of resources in Moscow in a time of crisis,” Trudeau added.
