Kremlin: The withdrawal of Russian troops from Kiev region “a gesture of goodwill”

MOSCOW, April.6, (ST)- Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Russian President Vladimir Putin had ordered the troops to withdraw from Kiev region with the aim of creating suitable conditions for Russian-Ukrainian talks. 
 
In an interview with the French LCI channel, Peskov described the withdrawal of Russian forces from the Kiev region as “a gesture of goodwill”.
 
The Russian authorities can make serious decisions during the negotiations, so President Putin ordered the troops to leave the region,” Peskov said. 
 
Last Friday, Russia and Ukraine resumed their negotiations via video in parallel with Moscow’s announcement of its firm stance towards  Crimea  peninsula and Donbass and Lugansk republics.
