Bratislava (ST): The Syrian student pavilion won first place in the competitive student fair organized by the University of Economics in the Slovak capital Bratislava, with the participation of 30 student delegations from countries around the world.

The Syrian  pavilion in the exhibition included a variety of Syrian traditional industries such as mosaics, clothes, fabrics and posters that document Syria’s history and cultural heritage.

The Syrian pavilion was visited by a delegation from the Slovak University of Economics, including its president, Professor “Ferdinand Dano”, his deputy for scientific affairs, Professor Boris Tomas, and the heads of its departments, where they expressed their admiration for the quality of the exhibits.

The visitors were briefed through documentaries that were shown in the pavilion about the Syrian civilization, Tishreen University and its branches and its scientific status, in addition to a review of the crimes committed by the terrorists, the destruction of infrastructure and service facilities in Syria, and the looting and smuggling of Syrian historical monuments.

In a statement to news reporter, Professor Matush noted the high turnout of visitors to the pavilion, expressing his confidence in Syria’s victory in the war on terrorism and the unjust siege imposed on it, and the return of its effective and influential role regionally and internationally.

Matush also presented certificates of honor and appreciation to the Syrian students who supervised the Syrian pavilion.
