Russian Aid Plane To Syrians Arrives at Damascus International Airport

Medical and relief aid plane arrived at Damascus International Airport from the Russian people to the Syrians.

The aid includes hi-tech medical equipment such as breathing systems, sphygmomanometers, electrocardiography equipment, OR beds, incubators, wheelchairs and assorted supplies, said Oleg Fomin ,member of Russia’s Imperial Orthodox Palestinian Society and co-president of the Russian Society for Supporting the Syrian People.

After his meeting with Social Affairs Minister, Dr. Kinda al-Shamat ,Fomin stated that this shipment of aid was organized by the Imperial Orthodox Palestinian Society and the Russian Society for Supporting the Syrian People considering the two countries as one with respect to individuals and societies. He also affirmed that there will be other similar shipments to help students at the beginning of the upcoming school year.

For her part, Dr. al-Shamat expressed her gratitude for the exerted efforts of the Russian people in helping  the Syrians cope with their crisis in terms of relief and humanitarian aid, particularly the efforts of the Imperial Orthodox Palestinian Society. She also said that this shipment comprises urgent medical needs that will be urgently distributed via partners in relief work and the Higher Committee for Relief.
