Alexander Borisov, Chairman of the Russian Council of Development of the Consumer Market, has stressed that Europe is facing a fallacy by joining Washington in imposing sanctions on Russia without thinking.
Russia Today quoted Borisov as saying on Tuesday that “After hastily accepting to impose a further package of sanctions on Russia, Europe has fallen into the trap of the anti-Russia initiatives of Washington which is too far from the European problems.”
He added the anti-Russia sanctions have exacerbated the problem of the increase in world prices of grain and food in general, a problem that was created due to the Corona virus crisis.
Borisov warned that the current situation will cause a terrible food crisis in African countries, pointing out that Russia and Ukraine are the main exporters of grain to the world market in general and to African markets in particular.
He clarified that in addition to the Ukrainian refugees, Europe may soon witness an unprecedented and uncontrollable influx of refugees from Africa.
