Syria’s return to the Arab League helps unite Arab ranks and stances in the region and the world, Lavrov says

Moscow, (ST) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov affirmed that Syria’s return to the Arab League would help unify Arab ranks and stances in the region and the whole world.

Lavrov said during a press conference with the ministers of the Arab Ministerial Group in Moscow yesterday that, “we expressed our hope for Syria’s return to the League of Arab States”. “This issue of Syria’s return to the League of Arab States will be resolved at the earliest and will help unify Arab ranks and stances in the region and the whole world, he added.

Lavrov pointed out that the situation in the Middle East and North Africa was discussed, as there was a congruence of opinions on the Palestinian file.

“The current situation and its development over the years to turn Ukraine into an entity hostile to Russia was also discussed”, he said.

With regards to the campaign to mislead and falsify the facts that Russia is exposed to around the city of BuchaLavrov explained that this campaign is similar to the White Helmets campaigns in Syria. He stressed  the terrorist nature of such people, that everyone in Ukraine has touched and witnessed.

Lavrov expressed his denunciation of Russia’s repeated refusal to hold a meeting of the UN Security Council on the situation in Bucha by Britain, which currently chairs the council.

Lavrov also said that the unprecedented unilateral sanctions imposed by the West on Russia affect first of all the global economy, especially countries that import agricultural products, fertilizers and many other needs related to communications and trade relations in which the Russian Federation participates.
