Israeli occupation wages open-ended war on the Palestinian presence in occupied Al-Quds: Palestinian Foreign Ministry
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has affirmed that the Israeli occupation has been waging an open ended war on the Palestinian presence in the occupied Al-Quds with the aim of implementing its colonialist annexation schemes.
In a statement on Monday reported by WAFA News Agency, the ministry said that the aggressive and oppressive practices of the Israeli occupation towards the Palestinians in occupied Al-Quds, most recent of which was last night’s savage attack on the residents in Silwan town as well as Bab Al-Amoud and Al-Sahera areas in Al-Quds old city, are part of its attempt to Judaize Al-Quds and control its Christian and Islamic sanctities.
The ministry called for an urgent international action to stop the occupation crimes and violations in Al-Quds and the rest of the West Bank areas.
Meantime, the Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf (Islamic Endowments) unveiled in a report on Monday that the Israeli occupation forces and settlers stormed into Al-Aqsa Mosque more than 20 times and banned Islamic Azan at Al-Ibrahimi Mosque 47 times during the past month.
The report clarified that during the past month, the occupation forces provided protection for 4200 settlers to storm into Al-Aqsa Mosque and prevented the arrival of Palestinian worshippers to the mosque.
The report added that the occupation authorities continue with their violations against Al-Ibrahimi Mosque by banning the Islamic Azan for 47 times and carrying out digging works in its courtyard to change its features.
According to the report, Israeli settlers burned the entrance of Ibadul Rahman Mosque in the town of Zeita Jma’een in the West Bank city of Nablus. The occupation forces also closed Al-Hamidiyeh Mosque in Al-Khadeer town in Bethlehem and prevented the Palestinians to perform their prayers there.
